Long Dog Sauce Co was established in mid 2022 by husband and wife team Tim and Marcia.
Up until the hot sauce business was launched, their lives revolved around their beloved sausage dogs, Ernie and Audrey. So when it came time to decide on a name for the company, the first suggestion that came to mind was Long Dog Sauce Co. The name stuck, and the rest is history.
Tim is a self confessed chilli and hot sauce addict, whereas Marcia on the other hand is allergic to chillies and is not fond of hot sauce to say the least. Despite this seemingly insurmountable obstacle, they make and sell the hot sauce together, albeit with Marcia wrapped in extensive protective equipment.
The fermentation process is key at Long Dog for developing flavour, while at the same time making the sauce naturally acidic, without the need for any vinegar.
No other stabilizers of preservatives are added, just locally-sourced chillies, along with other fruits and vegetables.
At Long Dog Sauce Co, the first priority is delicious, unique flavours, and of course that fresh chilli kick that we all love.
